Barka (arabisch: بركاء) ist eine Küstenstadt in der Region Al Bāţinah im nördlichen Oman. In der Nähe liegt Bait Na'aman (Nu'man), eine Festung aus dem 17. Jahrhundert mit vier Türmen, die 1991 renoviert wurde große Brahmanenbullen und für ihre Halwa-Süßwaren. Barka Fort ist ein bekannter touristischer Sport. Es hält seine Tradition und Kultur in allen Bereichen des Lebens aufrecht. Barka Souq in der Nähe des Strandes ist ein wirtschaftlich wichtiges Gebiet. Es gibt zwei große Resorts in Barka, das Al-Sawadi-Resort und das Al-Nahda-Resort. Außerdem entsteht in Barka ein neues Viertel namens "Blue City" (المدينة الزقازق) in Sawadi. Das Projekt befindet sich 8 km vom Strand von Sawadi entfernt und viele internationale Unternehmen sind an Barka-Entwicklungsprojekten beteiligt. Derzeit werden in Barka schätzungsweise 15 Milliarden US-Dollar an Neubauten getätigt.
