Arrival at Muscat international airport (TBA). Upon arrival, meet and greet after the immigration formalities. Transfer to Muscat Hotel.

Muscat, town, the capital of Oman, is located on the Gulf of Oman coast. The city is the seat of the Omani government. With a history dating back to antiquity, it mixes high-rises and upscale shopping malls with clifftop landmarks such as the 16th-century Portuguese forts, Al Jalali and Mirani, looming over Muscat Harbor. Its modern, marble-clad Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, with a 50m dome and prodigious Persian carpet, can accommodate 20,000 people.


The rest of the day is free at leisure or guests may choose below optional tour.

08:00 am - Our first stop is a visit to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of the most iconic structures in Oman, which can accommodate up to 20,000 worshippers at a go. Its Sandstone facade, and stunning interiors lavishly furnished with Swarovski crystal chandeliers and hand-woven silk carpets ensure it place at the top of the list of must-visit places in Muscat— a pinnacle of modern Islamic architecture. (FRIDAY CLOSED)


Notes: Note: The Grand Mosque is open from Saturday to Thursday from 0800 – 1100 hrs only (last entry at 10:30 hrs). Female visitors to the mosque are required to cover their head using a scarf and wear modest clothing that fully covers arms and legs, thus no shorts, beachwear, or sleeveless outfits. Men are also required to be modestly dressed though short sleeve shirts may be allowed for men. Slip-on shoes are recommended as one has to remove them to enter the mosque.


Then proceed to the Fish Market located by the seaside.  


Visit the Nakhal fort, nestled in Oman's Al Batinah region, is a historic stronghold dating back to the 9th century. Perched atop a rocky hill, it offers commanding views of the Nakhal Oasis. With its sturdy walls, watchtowers, and well-preserved interiors, the fort is a testament to Oman's rich history and architectural prowess. Today, it stands as a popular tourist destination, inviting visitors to explore its ancient chambers and soak in the stunning vistas that surround it.


Then proceed to visit the Nakhal hot springs known as Ain Al Thawarah hot springs, which are situated close to Nakhal fort, and one of the most popular tourist sites in Al Batinah South Governorate. Locals and tourists alike visit the region to enjoy a relaxed day in the area where fresh mineral water always flows from the wadi and is channeled into the falaj systems for irrigation of the surrounding areas. Many choose to swim in its pools here or enjoy a picnic when visiting this beautiful spring.

Then while driving back to Muscat visit Amouage Perfume Visitor Centre and discover how their amazing fragrances are created from their inception to the final product. Amouage, an international luxury brand is best known for its signature fragrance offerings that incorporate local Frankincense. At the center, visitors can experience the whole process right from sourcing ingredients from their in-house facilities to distilling, filtering, and packaging. A visit to this center offers an in-depth view of the history and art of perfuming in the Middle East.

DAY 03, MON | MUSCAT – SUR – AL ASALA RESORT

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out at 08.30 hrs.


Before we drive towards Sur explore Mutrah Souq, a vibrant market dating back 200 years, offering textiles, jewelry, and Omani artifacts.


Proceed with a photo stop at Al Alam Palace, the official residence of His Majesty, flanked by the 16th-century forts Mirani & Jalali.


Drive to Sur. Our first stop will be at Bimah Sinkhole, located on the northeast coast of the Muscat Governorate this beautiful 65-foot-deep pool is a naturally occurring sinkhole that formed less than a kilometer from the sea, causing the sinkhole to hold a mix of fresh and saltwater with sparkling blue waters a large limestone crater that has become a famous weekend getaway for locals too. 


Continue to Wadi Shab, a picturesque canyon with freshwater pools, date palms, and a hidden waterfall inside a cave. (Photo stop only.)


Lunch at the local restaurant.


Continue your drive to Sur & visit the Dhow factory At the Dhow factory in Sur, artisans still continue to hand-craft various types of dhows at the factory in Sur, using centuries-old techniques.


Continue to Ras Al Khabbah and check in at Al Asala Resort.


20:30 pm: We will drive to Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve. Oman’s turtle reserve at Ras Al Jinz, is famous not just Oman's leading conservation project for the hatching and protection of endangered turtles but also offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for visitors to observe thousands of turtles laying their eggs here at night. The reserve with 45 km of protected coastline was created in 1986 for the protection of these shelled creatures, and to spread awareness about them. 


Note: Please note that the main nesting season is Jun-Aug, at other times of the year, there may or not be turtles every night.


Return to hotel.

After breakfast, head to Wadi Bani Khalid, an oasis with emerald-green pools, tall palms, and stunning rocky canyons, perfect for a leisurely stroll.


Lunch at a local restaurant, then change to 4WD vehicles (max 4 pax per vehicle) for the journey into Wahiba Sands. This vast desert, home to nomadic Bedouins, offers breathtaking dunes, unique cultural encounters, and mesmerizing night skies.


Enjoy dune driving and a spectacular desert sunset.


Dinner & overnight stay in Wahiba Sands. (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included.)

DAY 05, WED | WAHIBA – IBRA – JABREEN – NIZWA

After breakfast, check out and 4WD will drop you at Bidiya.


Change from 4WD to Coaster/Van for the journey to Nizwa.


En route, visit the Ibra Wednesday Market, known for its lively camel trading and diverse stalls. (Market starts closing around 9 AM, so an early departure is recommended.)


Continue to Birkat Al Mauz, a scenic village with date plantations and the historic Falaj irrigation system (UNESCO-listed).


Lunch at a local restaurant, then visit Jabreen Castle, a well-preserved 17th-century fortress known for its rich history and impressive architecture.


Stop at Bahla, famous for pottery and its UNESCO-listed fort (photo stop from outside).


Arrive in Nizwa and check in at the hotel.


Overnight in Nizwa. (Breakfast & Lunch included).

DAY 06, THU | NIZWA – JABAL SHAMS – AL HAMRA – MUSCAT

After breakfast, visit Nizwa Fort, known for its massive cylindrical tower and historical exhibits, followed by Nizwa Souq, one of Oman’s oldest markets, bustling with local trade and souvenirs.


Board 4x4 vehicles and head to Jebel Shams, Oman’s "Grand Canyon," offering breathtaking views from the country’s highest peak.


Stop at Al Hamra, a 400-year-old village with traditional mud-brick houses. Visit Bait Al Safah, a living history museum showcasing Omani heritage.


Lunch at a local restaurant, then drive back to Muscat.


Overnight stay at the hotel in Muscat. (Breakfast & Lunch).
